Majid Lavasani is a skilled furniture designer and maker. He has worked with wood since 1996 and has used his experience in design, modeling and classic carving for many varied commission before settling in England. Majid then went on to study interior design and furniture making at Manchester College of Art and Technology. After graduating and gained traditional cabinet making skill, then he established his own business at Mushroom Works in Newcastle upon Tyne in 2012, began in small studio, making unique bespoke furniture.

Majid always design freely without worrying about practicalities or limitations of manufacture, which ensures that the design is never compromised. He revel in the challenge of finding innovative and sometimes complicated methods of turning his designs into particular furniture.
