Wheelthrown bowl with the interior glazed in duck egg blue silky glaze contrasting with a warm toasted stoneware clay exterior. Great size for soup porridge, cereal or salad.
Can be matched with half glazed mugs, dishes, teapots extra large tea or coffee cups and a range of small medium and large jugs.
All the pieces are hand thrown on a kick wheel, small variations in size and shape are part of this hand made process and the glazing is all by hand too so slight variations in tone and colour are a natural result. This adds to the unique character of each lovingly made item.

An elegant addition to any kitchen cupboard. These thinly thrown bowls are my favourite shape, deceptively simple, but very practical and stackable. I love the unexpected toasting of the clay – as the silky smooth glaze and raw pot fuse in the kiln, some magic occurs, tingeing the clay with a warm rich hue.
With small changes in the amounts of colouring oxide this glaze will vary from duck egg blue (as these are) to a pale green: eau de nil or a cloud grey. A great size for soups, cereals, porridge or salad. Or use as handleless cups – or ingredient bowls
In the same range are medium and large dishes, teapots, extra large teacups and small medium and large jugs
