This is a lovely easy to wear every day pendant. The white freshwater pearl hangs off a brushed silver tube on a unusual spiga chain.
I enjoy giving traditional pearls a modern twist, there is a nice contrast between the brushed and polished silver.
The pear shaped pearl is a cultured freshwater pearl which comes from Japan.

This little pendant is part of my contemporary pearl collection. I have a passion for pearls and all the different shapes and colours they come in. Most pearls nowadays are cultured freashwater pearls, the only natural ones without an implnted nucleus are the Tahitian and Southsea pearls.
