In Person 2 hours Ceramics
Summary
Pottery classes in my studio for Adults, numbers are limited to 6 people. (minimum 2 people) Students will be asked in advance to choose an item they would like to make, (look on Social media for ideas.) Feel free to create your own project to work on. Hand building techniques will be shown. Students will produce one finished Ceramic Item of their choice. Items made will then be left to dry and fire. Students will then book a second class to come to glaze their work. (at additional class cost)
What you’ll do
I will provide pre wedged clay, and materials for students to enjoy making a functional ceramic item. The work produced will be left for drying and firing before it can be glazed at a later date. Tools, materials and aprons will be provided. I will endeavor to ensure that the experience is enjoyable.
What to bring
Just come along with an idea of what to make, and enthusiasm. Aprons and materials are provided.
What you’ll get
You will produce a stoneware Handbuilt Pottery creation of your own making.
Church Street Workshops
I am an established and experienced Punk Potter with a BA Honors Degree in Ceramics. I have worked in numerous Adult Education Colleges for over 35 years as Tutor and Ceramic technician. I have also been Potter in Residence in many Establishments, the last one was at the Jewish Museum, where I was throwing in the style of Lucie Rie, as part of the exhibition "Shaping Ceramics" there.
