Summary

In this workshop,  Annabel from The Indian Block Print Co. will teach you how to use Indian Printing Blocks and Textile Paint to hand print your own fabric design. The workshop will start with a detailed demonstration, time to practice with different colours and designs and once confident you will choose either a Tote Bag, Tea Towel or Cushion Cover to Block Print. These workshops are suitable for ages 8 years and upwards.

What you’ll do

Learn the traditional art of Indian Block Printing, and the joys of hand printing your own Fabric. Anna who will host your Printing workshop has been running Indian Block Printing workshops for over 7 years will share her in-depth knowledge of Block Printing with you. Showing you tips, tricks and techniques, which will help you hand print your own creation, you’ll have time to practice and build confidence before moving onto your chosen item. Whether you count yourself as creative or not, block printing is for everyone! The detailed printing blocks do all the hard work for you, meaning you have to do choose the colours you want to use, and can make your creation as simple or detailed as you would like.

What you’ll get

All materials are included in the Workshop. An apron will be provided to keep you clean, choose from either a Tea Towel, Tote Bag or Cushion Cover to print onto which you will take home with you.
