Made with extra fine silk yarns, this handwoven Stole has a hand-dyed warp in a waterfall design. In varying shades of magenta, chestnut and aqua, the warp is crossed with a vibrant magenta pink coloured hand-dyed extra fine silk weft. Using a dip-dyed and resist technique, allowing colours to remain distinct in some areas and to merge in others, an unrepeatable complexity of tones is achieved.
It is woven in a 1/3 twill which predominantly shows the patterned warp on one side and the softer colours of the weft on the other.
A luxurious stole which allows you to comfortably wrap or drape it in multiple looks and styles, highly versatile, functioning as a large scarf, an elegant evening wrap, or a lightweight shawl.
Every scarf is finished with hand hemstitching, a fringe and a “Jaine Mahon” label.

Handwash 30°C using mild detergent, rinse and spin.
Iron when wet to remove creases and hang or lay flat to finish drying naturally.

Taking inspiration from the colours on the Isle of Skye, the rose sunsets over the clear sea and the chestnut tones in the local rock, this piece, made from extra fine 100% silk at 100 ends (threads) per inch, is individually designed and has been exquisitely woven on a traditional 8 shaft floor loom, resulting in a soft, luxurious, sumptuously coloured silk textile.
