Introducing Stitch Yourself Together, a collection of three handwoven artworks that redefine traditional craftsmanship. Each piece tells a story of contrast and harmony, inviting you to explore the intricate dance between materials and techniques.
These artworks are created using the double cloth technique on a floor loom to showcase the artist’s passion for pushing creative boundaries. Each piece is woven with two layers simultaneously, using a blend of hand-dyed Seacell yarn, Japanese paper yarn, silk boucle, and ramie. This careful selection of contrasting fibres and changes in fabric density create an intricate interplay of light and shadow, resulting in a unique texture and depth in each piece.
These artworks offer a unique way for businesses and interior designers to incorporate craftsmanship and creativity into commercial settings, such as hotels, restaurants, and offices.

The “Stitch Yourself Together” collection was created to explore textile art beyond its traditional use and challenge the perceived value of fabric. Inspired by reflections during the lockdown, it features loom-controlled stitched marks that symbolise resilience and strength. By delving into the history and symbolism of embroidery, the collection examines the human tradition of adorning ourselves with hidden messages. The weaving process contrasts denser, stronger weaves with softer, yielding ones, reflecting outer facades versus inner selves. The artwork is made from a blend of hand-dyed Seacell warp and paper yarn weft, creating a textured and intricate appearance that represents the idea of strength within fragility. By blurring the line between art and functionality, the piece encourages viewers to contemplate the deep and meaningful stories woven into the fabric.
