Made from solid tulipwood, please try and avoid direct heat, i.e in front of a radiator as it may warp or crack the wood.
Like many designs, this one along with many of the “Tenbury” range of scalloped furniture, began on the back of an envelope over a cup of coffee at our kitchen table!
I still keep that piece of paper as a memento and intend to frame it on the wall at some point.
I then created the working design on my computer to the finest detail, from every mortice and tenon joint to how I could ensure the drawers would slide without their painted sides becoming worn. Unfortunately after painting and finishing the console table, I was informed that it was now a permanent feature in the bedroom by Emma and it cannot be sold. So, I will make to order, but please allow 6-8 weeks.
