This is a smaller version of the other bowls listed on here.
This one is a very elegant,, wheel thrown bowl with a very subtle foot ring.
It has been glazed with a dark Blue Chun glaze on the inside, and an “eye” has formed in the base of the glaze.. The exterior has been hand painted with a pale turquoise blue background, and a wax resist technique has been used to apply the Intense Red glaze over the top of it, resembling animal stripes. As it is hand painted, some variations of the colours do occur.

Please handle with care when washing, as with all ceramics, they are fragile.
I have widely experimented with firstly, throwing stemmed bowls, and secondly, using different resist methods to apply different layers of colours which I have really loved. Being able to combine both of these things, and especially being able to see the results of the techniques together. What a JOY!
