The Angles
Fragile World Collection
Description
Part of a new collection called ‘Fragile World’, the angles are long drop earrings which dangle gently when worn. They are made with vintage French sequins, nylon coated Sterling Silver wire and Sterling Silver findings.
The style is minimal but due to the size, the free-form flair of the wire and the 3D centrepiece, the earrings make a statement when worn and look especially beautiful when the sequins catch the light.
Due to the handmade nature of this item, each piece is unique and slight variations in design and finish are considered part of the beauty of the design.

The earrings are meant for occasional and evening wear and are best worn with your hair styled away from the face. They should be kept away from liquids and chemicals and when not worn be stored in their box for protection. Do not bend or crush them!
All my jewellery is inspired by contemporary architecture and urban details such as metal grids and structures. I see a stark kind of beauty in urban environments – the geometry, the patterns and the shapes.
The ‘Fragile World’ collection incorporates very delicate components. Combined they create lightweight 3D sculptures. To make these I only use traditional metalsmithing tools and I enjoy the planning, sketching and craftsmanship that goes into each piece.
Once I have decided on the design, each sequin is carefully placed and secured with a silver finding. The key parts, the vintage sequins were sourced in France. They were manufactured in 1930/1940 and are so much more beautiful than the ones available now. I love incorporating old or recycled pieces in my jewellery and create something that looks very contemporary.
When I first started making the pieces in this collection the floor was covered in sequins. A single strand contains over a thousand little pieces! I now keep them in small containers and pick them out of there with a wire.
