Description:

This perfectly sized, rectangular cushion features our ‘Double Tendril’ design, inspired by the winding tendrils of plants spiralling to reach the sun, creating our thickest blend of Blue-faced Leicester and Merino wool roving. Given its thickness, this design is ideal for fitting into the small of your back when sitting on an armchair or sofa. It is also incredibly lightweight, making this cushion both practical and comfortable.

Each cushion is carefully handwoven in our Oxford studio using only the finest materials. They feature a 100% handwoven front featuring a unique design with a 100% linen backing in a contrasting colour. We have washed the cushion by hand to help with shrinkage and finished it with a concealed, bottom zip.

Every step in our process reflects our commitment to craftsmanship and time-honoured weaving traditions. We also believe in sourcing all our materials from within the UK to minimise our carbon footprint and use natural fibres whenever possible as we aim to cultivate a more sustainable practice.

Story:

This cushion forms part of our Forest Collection which combines the creaminess of Merino wool roving with the fibrous Blue-Faced Leicester to create a unique collection of highly-textured, handwoven interior products with a modern rustic feel. Inspired by walks through British forests, these textured throws, cushions and lampshades tell stories of caterpillars crawling through the forest, plants spiralling from the forest floor and their colours, textures and patterns. This collection also shows our dedication to creating sustainable handwoven products by using our own ‘waste’ materials to create new yarns for new designs.
