I took a flatly picture of some Mimi Eden products that best showcase what my work is about for a social media post. This sowed the seed in my mind to create a print for a canvas tote bag. The only problem was that I am not very artistic, so what to do?…….
I saw a post that a friend Chloe had put on her stories of watercolour flowers and asked her if she would collaborate with me to work on an illustrated version of my photo.
We discussed some idea options and the main thing for me was that the image wasn’t just a direct copy of the photo. It had to have a personality of its own AND be a line drawing. Chloe worked on a few versions before it hit the right note.
The end result is a stylised painted illustration with broken lines and subtle details. It comes in 2 colour ways. Classic black on Cream and white on Navy.
