A finely thrown bowl shaped cup with a well finished foot – great to warm the hands on a cup of something hot
For those of us who like a proper cup of tea or a decent cafe au lait

Holds a good mugful of tea, coffee or cocoa
All the pieces are hand thrown on a kick wheel, small variations in size and shape are part of this hand made process and the glazing is all by hand too so slight variations in tone and colour are a natural result. This adds to the unique character of each lovingly made item.

to retain the smooth sheen of the glaze we recommend hand washing these pieces
please take care in the microwave as they get hot (iron in the clay)
My perfect coffee cup– I wanted to make a cup that I liked drinking from , that would look good in any kitchen and felt great to hold in the hand. For those of us that like a large café au lait – this is the perfect cup! It took many experiments to perfect this form – the edge of rim has to be right both in the thickness of the clay and the glaze that touches the lips. I love the unexpected toasting of the clay – as the silky smooth glaze and raw pot fuse in the kiln, some magic occurs, tingeing the clay with a warm rich hue.
With small changes in the amounts of colouring oxide this glaze will vary from cloud grey or a palest hint of duck egg blue or a pale green in eau de nil – or this vibrant teal
In the same range are small bowls, dishes, teapots, extra large teacups and small medium and large jugs
