Wheelthrown salt pig in a toasty stoneware clay and finished in teal silky glaze – so great for rock salt or flakes – easy access for cooking. Can be ordered in different finishes.
Can be matched with mugs, bowls, teapots extra large tea or coffee cups and a range of small medium and large jugs.
All the pieces are hand thrown on a kick wheel, small variations in size and shape are part of this hand made process and the glazing is all by hand too so slight variations in tone and colour are a natural result. This adds to the unique character of each lovingly made item. Can be used in a microwave, please take care as the piece can get warm
Can be washed in a dishwasher but you may prefer to hand wash them

A fun practical and funky addition to any kitchen cupboard. These are fun to throw and look great in the kitchen , next to the cooker for easy access to flavour your cooking.
I finally settled on this design after trying a few out, it’s simple and practical and a great addition to a busy cook’s kitchen. The salt pig is thrown as a sphere – closing the form at the top, allowing it to dry before creating a foot on the base and creating the opening – the throwing rings on the inside show how it is made, and the glaze breaks gently over the undulating surface.
