Clara Hancock's silks

I studied philosophy and asthetics in Colombia and History of Art L’Ecole du Louvre, Paris. In London, I took to practical art working in sculpture, ceramics, glass fusion, textiles and painting on silk. I use silk most frequently as means of expression. The inspiration of my art comes from my daily life experiences. A visit to a museum or an art gallery, my extensive travels, looking at gardens, listening to music or a poem all generate idea. To express my feelings from life I use a varied of techniques to paint on silk such as free hand drawing, painting, mono printing, wood block, lino cu, silk screen printing and applying dyes in a water colour approach.
