The flower in ‘Miniatures I’ have been hand selected, pressed and designed with real flowers: gyp, erigeron, stock, solidago, tulip pollen, freesia pollen/stigma, bluebell, muscari, unknowns.
The finished design is digitally photographed in a professional studio using a high-res prime lens and colour calibrated to ensure the colours are accurate to the original artwork to allow for large prints that are exceptionally sharp and detailed.
It is then printed to order with the Giclee method, using 12 lightfast pigment inks, on fine art paper.
Sold unframed. The best recommendation is to have it framed in a natural wood to complete the organic nature of the work – natural pine or oak frames look great.

Designed in April 2022, ‘Miniatures I’, I loved every second of working with such tiny delicate floral parts. Whilst this design is the sum total of its parts each floral piece has taken on a mini life of its own.
I use a professional pressing technique that preserves the flowers’ natural vitality, capturing their vibrant colours and exquisite details. Tending to my presses daily, I observe how they change their colour, texture, tone and shape throughout the pressing process which takes on average 3 weeks.
Just like nature, every piece is a one-off.
