A large flat serving dish/platter – a fabulous centre piece to any kitchen or dining table – or even hanging from the wall. This will give an extra zing to whatever is place on it or near it.
Glazed in vibrant teal glaze with hand drawn and glazed lemon and leaves – unglazed toasted stoneware on the base
Approx 30 cms ø
To retain the smooth sheen of the glaze we recommend hand washing these pieces
Please take care in the microwave as they get hot (iron in the clay)
A simple wheel thrown platter with a small lip – spectacular enough to serve a birthday cake or a pile of goodies from bread rolls to choux pastries, whole cheeses to pyramids of clementines, apples, pears and plums.
Sometimes you need a large flat surface to serve and display – and this will brighten any kitchen, table or dresser
Thrown from a lump of clay over 2 kilos in weight – dried slowly to prevent warping, then trimmed to create a flat lighter surface – I love decorating these – drawing the fine lines of fruit and leaves with a slip trailer and painting on the glazes. I love the freedom of drawing on the pot in this way – and allowing the kiln to do its work – so the fruit stalks and leaves blend with the flowing glaze and create a unique image – no two will be the same.
