Claudia Luque Ceramics

I am a British/Colombian contemporary ceramics artist, I have lived and travelled in many countries around the world and it is the variety of cultures and art that has inspired me to work in ceramics. I have spent the last 15 years learning and exploring ceramic techniques and now I’m dedicated to create and exhibit my ceramic work. Recently I’ve been teaching ceramics to small groups of adults and youngsters in my studio.
I love working with clay as it allows me open exploration. I enjoy experimenting and combining various materials and I’m always trying new techniques, glazes and firing methods. I have an open way of thinking which comes from being in contact with multiple cultures both by living in London and also for my extensive travelling.
I use a variety of techniques including hand building, throwing and slip casting and I also use different firing techniques being Raku the one I enjoy the most.
