Discover the work of over 175 UK-based designer-makers at Handmade Oxford 2026. A celebration of contemporary making, the Festival showcases a carefully curated selection of fine arts and crafts — from jewellery and fashion to textiles, ceramics, glass, and sculpture.

Enjoy hands-on workshops, and live demonstrations in a relaxed festival atmosphere. Recharge with delicious artisan food, with accompaniment by local musicians.

Set within the elegant grounds of Waterperry House & Gardens, your experience can be further extended with a combined Gardens & Festival ticket.

TICKET INFORMATION

  • Tickets are available to purchase here >>
  • Select from VIP, Standard Festival only, or Festival & Gardens tickets.
  • Tickets can also be purchased ‘on the door’ – increased rates apply.
  • We are encouraging contactless card payments, wherever possible. There will be no cash withdrawal facility on site.
  • Concession tickets cater to students over 18 with a valid student card and senior citizens (65+)
  • Entry is free for Carers and Children under 16.
  • Workshop tickets launching soon… Spaces will be LIMITED for each workshop, so don’t miss out! Please note, workshop tickets will not allow free entry to the Festival. Festival tickets must be purchased to attend any workshop.

VENUE / Waterperry Gardens is an acclaimed 8-acre garden near Wheatley, in Oxfordshire. It is celebrated for its breathtaking landscapes, vibrant plant collections, and serene ambiance.

  • From Oxford: Follow A40 East – London. Take the 3rd exit after Thornhill Park and Ride (signposted Wheatley). Follow brown signs to Waterperry Gardens and yellow AA signs for Handmade Oxford.
  • From Birmingham (M40 South): Exit M40 at Junction 8a (Oxford Services). At the 2nd roundabout, follow signs for A40 Oxford, then turn right towards Wheatley and Waterperry. Follow brown signs to Waterperry and yellow AA signs.
  • From London (M40 North): Exit M40 at Junction 8 (A40 Oxford). Take the 1st exit for Wheatley and Waterperry, turn left, and follow brown signs to Waterperry and yellow AA signs.
  • Taxi: A local cab company operates from Haddenham & Thame Parkway station car park.
  • Public Transport from Oxford: Take the Oxford Bus Company 400 from Oxford City Centre to Wheatley. Pre-book a taxi from there to Waterperry Gardens (OX33 1LA).

USEFUL INFORMATION

  • Car parking is free of charge, with designated spaces for Blue Badge holders; advanced booking is required for coaches: contact nicole@handmadeinbritain.co.uk.
  • Assistance animals and well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome within the Festival – but please note no dogs allowed in Waterperry’s Formal Gardens.
  • Most areas are wheelchair-accessible; however, push/motorised wheelchairs are not available for hire.
  • Accessible toilets and baby changing facilities are available within the Festival site.
  • There is good 4G/5G mobile signal across the Festival site. No Wi-Fi is accessible.
  • A variety of food and drink options, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free choices, will be provided by regional traders. Service begins at 10 am daily.
  • A Demonstration Schedule will be published in the lead up to the Festival, and available at the entrance gate.
  • Please be aware that filming and photography will take place at Handmade Oxford for promotional and archival purposes. If you would prefer not to be photographed please let us know upon arrival.

Our Artisan Food & Drink traders are a select group – with usually no more than 10 table traders accepted, plus a similar number who bring their own gazebo’s.

Due to high demand, applications from craftspeople working in Jewellery are currently paused and placed on an active waiting list. We warmly encourage you to continue to apply, as selections may continue from this list in due course.

A non-refundable deposit is payable once you have been selected. With an option to pay the balance by instalments.

Demonstrate at Handmade Oxford 2026
(Limited Opportunities + 10% Exhibitor Discount)

Enhance your presence as an exhibitor by taking part in live craft demonstrations at Handmade Oxford 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to share your skills, engage visitors, and gain additional visibility during the festival as these take place within your exhibiting space.

Selected demonstrators receive:

  • 10% reduction on exhibiting costs
  • Featured placement in our content calendar
  • Inclusion in the Festival Programme

Spaces are limited, and we’re seeking makers who represent a balanced mix of disciplines, skills, and materials. Early submissions are strongly encouraged.

To be considered, simply indicate your interest where prompted within your Exhibiting Application. Only successful exhibiting applicants will be invited to submit a short proposal for selection as a demonstrator.

Run a Workshop

Run a Workshop at Handmade Oxford 2026
(Limited Opportunities)

Handmade Oxford invites makers and artists to submit proposals for hands-on craft workshops at the 6th edition of the festival, taking place at Waterperry Gardens from 12–14 June 2026. We’re looking for engaging, accessible sessions across a variety of skills and materials — including ceramics, jewellery, textiles, and more.

Key Information:

  • Workshop pricing is set by the maker/artist.

  • Handmade in Britain takes a percentage of workshop revenue.

  • All workshop spaces are provided free of charge by Handmade in Britain.

  • Workshop Hosts receive a dedicated account to showcase their workshops, while our team handles ticket sales and customer enquiries.
  • Opportunities are limited, so early proposals are strongly encouraged.
