Yasemin’s designs are a unique combination of contemporary jewellery making styles and techniques, alongside traditional filigree methods. The designs incorporate fine silver wire work encased in a sterling silver frame, with highlights of gold, textured silver and individually selected gems.
Originally from Turkey, in 2012 a medical life changing experience, prompted Yasemin to re-evaluate her life & chosen career path. At that time she found solace in drawing small intricate designs, focussing her attention away from her ongoing health issues. In 2013, whilst still receiving treatment, Yasemin completed a jewellery design and making course. Later she moved to the UK and has been continuing to develop her skills in the intricate art of silver filigree.
Yasemin has always been inspired by nature. In her intricate work Yasemin explores and plays with the balance of geometrical shapes and curves. The forms and shapes of the natural world, contrasting elements of texture and subtle organic highlights that can be seen throughout her expanding range of work.
From her workshop in Frome, Somerset, Yasemin carefully creates every piece, handmade and distinctive, treading in the footsteps of tradition, yet also delivering a contemporary flare.
