My Exeter workshop overlooks the river Exe with its dependable seasonal rhythms. Inspiration comes from elements of nature, a fascination with a variety of natural forms and methods of articulation is an important focus. Beginning with drawings of collected samples and photographs, ideas evolve during the making process. I enjoy the tension and balance between form and function with the practical and aesthetic considerations of fit, comfort and movement of jewellery on the body. Curvaceous leaf forms, droplets and waves are well suited to the soft fluid circling, draping and complimenting of the neckline and wrist.
I use traditional tools and processes, working with argentium silver, recycled eco silver, and small quantities of recycled gold.
