I’m a woodturner with a passion for crafting both artistic and functional pieces from resin and hardwood burrs. Drawing on a long career in engineering, I approach each piece with precision, patience, and a deep respect for the materials I work with.
I’m especially inspired by the natural beauty and complex forms hidden within burr wood—its organic shapes and textures often lead the design. My work ranges from sculptural hollow forms that showcase the raw elegance of wood to smaller items that combine everyday function with artistic expression.
Everything I make is truly a one-off creation, handcrafted in my Yorkshire workshop. I work with the natural defects and imperfections within the wood to bring out its true beauty and originality.
