Description:

BLUE TOPAZ RING WITH TURQUOISE NANO CERAMIC CENTER.

Embrace your inner strength and celebrate your style with this Handmade Blue Topaz Ring.
Crafted in quality sterling silver, and using traditional and modern techniques this ring features a sky blue octagon cut topaz, and a centre ring plated in turquoise nano ceramic, with a studded texture.

Blue Topaz, known for its calming energy and connection to the sea is the focal point of the ring, it is often associated with clarity and wisdom. The birth stone of November this gem aligns with the Sagittarian thirst for knowledge and truth.

Nano-Ceramic Coating technology is an exciting but relatively new arrival to the jewellery manufacturing scene in Britain. Applied using electroplating-techniques similar to that or gold or silver plating, this coating provides a durable, vibrant colourful finish that enhances the overall aesthetic of the ring, and complements the natural gemstone.

A stunning statement piece that beautifully bridges the realms of modern artistic design and traditional craftsmanship the ring is designed to be both a statement piece and a comfortable accessory.

Story:

This ring showcases a unique fusion of industry and art, reflecting the beauty in organic forms found in the natural world and the human ingenuity of industry.
Inspired by the negative shapes found in nature and architecture reminiscent of coral or perhaps clockwork, this piece’s unique design invites the wearer to connect with their own eccentricity and creativity, inviting conversation and admiration.
While the main body of the ring has been made with a traditional wax carving technique, the centre ring was made separately, nano ceramic plated and then fitted into the polished frame of the exterior ring.
The bold turquoise centre adds an exciting pop of colour contrasting the polished silver while the studded texture lends itself to comfort and tactile pleasure.
My wish is that this ring not only adorns your hand but also empowers your spirit, making it the perfect accessory for those who embrace individuality.

Odette Jewellery

Evelyn Odette Mulholland’s brand Odette Jewellery, draws on influences from industrial art, architecture and has a special interest in the science of the natural world. She believes jewellery is a form of engineering that stems from organic creative processes, it is drawn together with intricate mechanisms and components. Often sculptural or architectural in feel, they reflect a fascination with industry and nature, the classical and the kinetic. An interest in biomimicry has shaped her work, often lending static objects movement and meaning. Evelyn was born in New Zealand but emigrated to Western Australia in her teens. She sat at a jeweller’s bench for the first time when she was eight and gravitated towards the profession, studying Jewellery Design and Construction at university. She moved to London in 1999 and worked in Hatton Garden for 15 years, while also making costume jewellery for designers in Knightsbridge. She now practices from her workshop in east London.
