Ulli Kaiser Contemporary Bead Crochet

Enjoying everything colourful, I taught myself the old technique of bead crochet with the intention of using it with unusual materials such as dyed wood, shells, antique faceted cut glass or tiny gemstones. Silversmithing opened doors to include vessels which were inspired by botanical drawings and the world of underwater creatures. My latest collection draws from myths and legends of the mountains of South Tyrol, giving found objects a new purpose.
Since 12 years I have my studio in Guildford, sell my work at fairs and in galleries, and enjoy commissioned work and consists of mostly one-off pieces. My jewellery evolves while making, invites to touch and make you smile.
