In 2024, we introduced an award at Handmade Chelsea for the first time, in partnership with The Society of Designer Craftsmen. The winner was Caitlin Murphy.

For 2025 our awards have grown, and there will be no fewer than 5 presented! Two awards, and a selection of commendations, will be given by The Society of Designer Craftsmen, and three awards will be presented by The House Directory.

• Outstanding Innovation in Craft & Design
• Outstanding Emerging Designer-Maker

These awards will recognise a maker embarking on their first career, and also a maker who has turned to craft later in life, thereby celebrating how craft can be a career for anyone at any stage. In addition, the judges will have the opportunity to present commendations.

The Society of Designer Craftsmen Awards will be presented during the Private View on Wednesday 5th November.

Brand new for Handmade Chelsea, The House Directory will give three awards representing three very distinct themes at this year’s show.

• Craft Revival

Open to anyone exhibiting, The House Directory Awards will be presented on the first public day, Thursday 6th November.
