HOST YOUR WORKSHOP
if already a Handmadeinbritain member please go to step 2
1. JOIN OUR ONLINE PLATFORM
Any creative maker who is passionate about presenting can join. Please make sure you are a member of Handmade in Britain marketplace. If you are not a member, Apply Now to become a member. If you are already a member, please login to your account and submit your workshop idea.
2. SUBMIT YOUR WORKSHOP IDEA
Once your application is successful and your account has been created, simply login to your account and submit your
Workshop details through the Workshop option on your dashboard.
You have the flexibility to choose the date, time and location of your Workshop, whether presenting using our online platform or in-person. We review every Workshop proposal in detail. We know our core customers well and know what they are looking for.
3. HOST YOUR WORKSHOP
Present using our Interactive Online Platform allowing you to reach out to more participants or from the more intimate surroundings of your studio by presenting in-person.
Your Workshop can cover any of the contemporary craft disciplines from textiles and fashion to ceramics, glass and jewellery making, fine art, prints and illustrations and woodworking. We are looking for innovative and inspiring Workshops to feature on our platform and our aim is to help craft enthusiasts learn new skills and explore their passion while keeping the traditions, knowledge and skills alive.
In our experience, an Online Workshop should be no more than 2 hours’ duration – with a short break at a time of your choosing.
An in-person Workshop should run from 4 hours to a 2 day workshop but a structured programme is essential.
We provide a step-by-step Guide which covers all you need to know from how to book to claiming payment and everything in between.
4. GET PAID
Submitting and listing a Workshop is free. However there is a Service Fee to pay on all participants’ booking fees.
Our Service Fee is 15% + VAT
After presenting your Workshop, deliver your invoice and get paid via BACS directly into your bank accounts within 7 days.
