Description:
This blue and white, oval porcelain vase with a gold lustre rim has a machine embroidered textured version of elements of the willow pattern story. The stitched texture has been painted with cobalt to give a rich blue finish. The vase is made from a slab of porcelain that has been pressed into the plaster cast of the texture and cut, shaped and joined. There is a glossy transparent glaze to the interior with a gold lustre rim. The vase is 18cm tall and the base is 15.5cm wide and 10cm deep.
