Silk Twill Scarf
Imagery V&A East Entrance wall
Modern Craftsmanship ~ Using psychogeography, my old camera and modern craft tools these images are transformed to reveal its beauty. The craft is separating the greys into 20 or more layers. Each grey is then recoloured, reconfigured, and may be repeated, as the texture is built up. This captures a moment of wonderment.
Each scarf is accompanied by its own scarf card telling its story and revealing part of the original photography.

The Victoria and Albert Museum is one of the world’s most loved collections of decorative arts. Founded in 1852, its exterior displays the passage of time. The capitals near the new entrance exhibit the WW2 bomb damage. The scarf celebrates the British spirit of being calm and carrying on. The colouration, Film Noir,
evokes the sultry, 1940s heroine with red velvety lips.
