This is the very wearable collection for everyday and ideal gift for your loved ones in terms of simplicity. The term and the composition of symmetry and the asymmetry is everyday language which refers to a sense of balance and proportion in the art and design. MAIKO NAGAYAMA created this collection with the starting point of the same vocabulary, but in social interactions, social relationship and sociological phenomenon instead. For example, symmetrical interactions send the moral message “we are all the same” while asymmetrical interactions may send the message “I am different”. People are more likely to form friends with others who are like them in race/ethnicity, social class, education, age etc.. When vast differences exist between friends, spouses or life partners or even business associates, the relationship might be defined as asymmetrical. MAIKO NAGAYAMA created this collection to express this social phenomenon through the actual composition of the art form of symmetry and asymmetry.
