The artist uses a family run firm to print her works onto silk; once the silk is returned, she hand cuts and rolls the edges of each item, so it has her touch.
Ailish is happy to answer questions about her items and welcomes contact. This particular piece has been printed onto Silk Twill, giving it a luxurious timeless feel.

Caring for your items
Silk scarves should be gently hand washed.
Scarves can be ironed on medium heat. For best results iron on reverse.
The Royal Academy of Arts in London has long since been a source of inspiration for Ailish and many other artists. Observing the café culture as well as the characters who frequent the Academy, ignites a desire to capture the setting in paint.
Once the original piece is finalised, digital techniques are used to transpose the image onto silk, forming the wearable art you can now observe.
