Growing up in a family with both Fine Art and Dressmaking history, Ailish turns her attention to her mother and her enduring love of Liberty fabric. Juxtaposing modern materials such as plastics as well as Liberty Print fragments, she created one off pieces as a celebration of her familial bonds. The pieces were then reworked into printable files.

Inspired by her mothers love of Liberty Print, this design is a marriage of a facial collage based on the artists mother, coupled with tiny fragments of her own drawings of floral patterns. This has been developed into a repeat format to print and create pieces like the one you witness here.
