This Platter was thrown on the potter’s wheel using stoneware clay, then decorated with coloured slips and fired in an electric kiln. A transparent glaze was then applied before firing again to a high temperature, which vitrifies the clay and produces a wonderful depth of colour. Although designs are repeatable, each piece has its own unique aspects, celebrating the touch of the maker. Due to the nature of the materials and processes used the size and finish of pieces will vary slightly. Available in a beautiful abstract design, this platter is the perfect addition to any table. Use as a serving dish for salads, or as a shallow fruit bowl.

This Platter is part of a collection of ceramics which draws inspiration from the simple beauty, and intriguing surfaces of old gardening tools gathered from my grandfather’s shed.
