Round enamel stud earrings. Made of enamelled copper but the ear fittings are sterling silver so no copper will touch the skin. Enamel is powdered glass and it goes into the kiln a number of times to melt so that it is attached to the metal. The earrings are finished off with some pure gold foil to enhance the design and bring it to life.

Do not drop on hard surfaces as the enamel can chip.
I use hand cut stencils through which I apply powdered enamel which is then fired in a kiln. This stencil is the same one that I use for my Oval red flower brooch and also some of my hanging earrings. Even though it vis the same stencil, when used on different shapes and in different colours, you would not think so! The pure gold foil really brings the earrings to life and makes them special and unique.I have made these stud earrings in black and blue but I plan to make them in red and green as well so watch this space!
