This decorative ceramic piece is a delightful teapot-shaped creation that blends rustic charm with whimsical design. Slab-built with care, the top two-thirds of the teapot remain unglazed, showcasing the natural, tactile beauty of the stoneware clay. The bottom third is finished with a soft white ash glaze, adding contrast.
Though not intended for actual use, this teapot makes a charming decorative accent, perfect for those who appreciate unique, handcrafted objects with character.

To keep your stoneware pottery looking its best, gently hand wash with warm, soapy water and dry thoroughly.
Crafting this quirky pourer started as a plaster mould of my christmas pudding basin. I then use the plaster shape to mould the flat slab of clay into a round and cut and attached the other shapes to make the whole item.
It takes about an hour to make and then it takes a slow, deliberate journey to completion, spending two weeks drying naturally. This careful drying process ensures the clay is strong enough to withstand the intense heat of the kiln, where it’s fired twice to achieve its final form. The first firing solidifies the structure, while the second, after applying the ash glaze, locks in the design. The ash glaze itself is a special touch, made from the ashes collected from my fireplace—a nod to my love for the warmth and simplicity of rustic, tactile objects.
