To keep your stoneware pottery looking its best, gently hand wash with warm, soapy water and dry thoroughly
Crafting this quirky pourer started as a plaster mould of my christmas pudding basin. I then use the plaster shape to mould the flat slab of clay into a round and cut and attached the other shapes to make the whole item.
It takes about an hour to make and then it takes a slow, deliberate journey to completion, spending two weeks drying naturally. This careful drying process ensures the clay is strong enough to withstand the intense heat of the kiln, where it’s fired twice to achieve its final form. The first firing solidifies the structure, while the second, after applying the blue glaze, locks in the design.
