Set of 2 handblown pine-textured ‘tipple’ glasses with short stems, made in the English Lake District. Textured with locally foraged pine needles gathered on many walks. These highly individual drinking glasses directly reflect our local landscape, and are filled with character and soul to enhance any drinking experience. The green/blue stem reflects the natural Lakeland landscape.
Perfect for special occasions, gifts, or simply adding a little something extra to that late-evening drink.
As these glasses are handmade and each mould is hand-shaped, appearance will vary from glass to glass giving each a unique character.
Dimensions: height approx. 9cm, holds approx. 35ml of your favourite tipple.
Made from borosilicate glass. Can be used with hot drinks.
We live in the heart of the beautiful English Lake District, surrounded by natural textures and landscapes which are constantly changing with the weather and the seasons.
Part of a range of glasses that I make, exploring ways of directly reflecting these textures in glass, these glasses are blown using a mould lined with pine needles, to form an imprint. For these small tipple glasses, I hand-shape the mould, adding an extra layer of individuality.
