A block printed lampshade in the Moth design.
Colours are a strong orange with a mid and darker Prussian blue printed onto a creamy white background.
Each lampshade is printed as a separate piece by Linda Baxter, aka The Black Fish Press, the blocks layered to create subtle colour combinations and textures.
Printing inks are sourced locally from Hawthorns in York and the linen union from Bradford.
This large lampshade can be ordered as a hanging pendant (ceiling) lampshade or as a table/floor lamp lampshade.
The shade is lined with fire resistant PVC and is fitted with an adaptor ring suitable for UK and European fittings.
*This item is made to order allowing 6 weeks for printing, air drying/curing (4 weeks!) and lampshade construction.
Please see estimated delivery days below which reflect this.*

We recommend a gentle application of a lint clothes roller or gentle dusting.
The Moth design was sparked by an encounter with a large moth which landed on Linda’s reading lamp late one night……
The design uses three printing blocks – the first orange block printing the body of the moth, which is then overprinted by the two ‘moth wings’ blocks in different shades of blue.
There is a video of the printing process on Linda’s profile.
