A small Bowl Chawan is thrown on the potter’s wheel using stoneware clay and decorated with different textured clays and handmade glaze, “Marimo Green”.
10.5 × 10.5 × 5 cm
Microwave and Dishwasher safe, although hand washing is advised for this product as the surface is decorated with textured clays and glazes.
Created my own glazing using copper for my ceramics. This glazing is called “Marino Green” which is the name of a special type of moss ball seen in a particular lake in Hokkaido, Japan.
A chawan is a bowl used for drinking tea at the tea ceremony originally but it is used as a bowl for rice or soup nowadays.
