Beautiful artists journal or notebook in silk fabric .
Unique substantial hand stitched and bound book crafted from beautiful kimono fabric from Japan. The fabric features flowers and patterns in bright colours over a textured violet background . The fabric is from a repurposed vintage kimono.
This book contains 80 pages , 160 sides) of white 140gsm, acid free cartridge suitable for al dry media and light watercolour.
The endpapers are in a soft mauve suede surface paper with a decorated edge.
The hand stitched headbands, top and bottom are in pastel shades of violet and mauve matching the cover fabric . These have been hand sewn by the artist.
Size16 x12x3 cm is a great size for sketching or writing.
Dispatched packed in its own simple two part Kraft card box to keep it safe.

This fabric just needed to be made into a square book as this shape framed the design so well. I make every book individually according to the fabric that I can source. Isn’t this a beautiful piece?
