This vase looks delightful either on its own or with a single stem from the garden. Two embroidered texture doves, willow tree and orange tree, inspired by the willow pattern story are depicted. The stitches have been overpainted with cobalt to give a rich blue. The vase is made from a single slab of porcelain that has been pressed into a plaster cast of my machine embroidered textile and folded or ‘tailored’ into shape. The vase is 14cm tall, 13cm wide at the base and the top opening is 10cm x 5.5cm wide. The interior has a glossy, transparent glaze.
