A stunning example of some of the stemmed bowls that I love to make.
This is quite large, at 19 cm across the top, and 10 cm high. I enjoy using differing surface finishes on one piece. This one has a wash of Chun Navy Blue glaze on the inside, while the outside is quite busy with a satin finish wash of Turquoise blue upon which an intricate layer of shiny Intense red Stripes (animal print inspiration) have been applied using the wax resist technique, some variations of colour do occur, as this is hand made and painted.

Please handle with care, as it remains a fragile Ceramic work of art.
I have been making bowls for many years and these have evolved over time.
These ones are more usable than some of my early “masterpieces”.
I really enjoy the use of layering different colours, and I love the spontaneity this creates.
I literally go with the flow of the stripes.
