Description:

A circlet of Ivy leaves with moving silver and gold leaves suspended within a solid gold frame.

Dimensions 5.2 × 0.5 × 5.2 cm
Care Instructions:

You can use silver dip on the main frame of the brooch. Try using a cotton bud to clean the leaves, and rinse off the dip thoroughly after use.
You can also try warm and soapy water with a soft toothbrush.

Story:

This one of a kind design is the hero piece from my Ivy collection. This stunning brooch grew organically as I arranged each individual Ivy leaf, building up the circlet layer by layer. The special secret about the piece is the rustling movement to the leaves, as the brooch has kinetic elements that move when touched.

Fiona McAlear Jewellery

My jewellery is influenced by line, form and repetition in the natural world around me. Be it trailing ivy or falling cherry blossom petals. I aim not to replicate the natural form, but to create a handmade version of it, with its own unique aesthetic.

My four current collections reference flowers selected for their traditional uses to adorn the body, and values that time has bestowed upon them.
I aim to create precious, timeless jewellery that will last a lifetime. And then have another.

My studio is based at Yorkshire Artspace in Sheffield where I make jewellery for custom orders and for selected Galleries.
