This sculptural ceramic had been made using various techniques. It consists of stoneware clay slabs, twisted and manipulated to create a geometrical and at the same time abstract design and a wheel thrown piece that has been delicately and deeply carved. The piece has been fire twice once in raku and the second time in an electric kiln and has multiple metallic glazes and underglazes to obtain the effect I wanted.

This piece was created during the last lockdown, and it is part of a series called ‘Infinite Possibilities it represents this past year and is called “Hope” as I almost give up on this piece, it was first fired in Raku and it didn’t work very well so I decided to keep some of the raku outer pieces and refired the rest on an electric Kiln. Now I adore it and taught me that with a little bit of love and patience what we believe is not worthed can be completely amazing, I also learnt that there are no mistakes just learnings and there is always hope.
