Hand turned in the UK in beautiful rare, Thuya burr (burl), and finished with 15 coats of water based polyurethane varnish, hand polished to give a high gloss, extremely durable and long lasting finish. Presented in a beautiful black gift box with magnetic catch.
Thuya burr comes from the root of the Thuya tree, found predominantly in the Atlas Mountains region of Morocco. The figuring in the wood is stunning, ranging from oranges to red, with swirls in blueish green. This particular piece is heavily detailed with burr eyes.
Fitted with professional quality, American manufactured, hardened stainless steel grinder mechanism with traditional top adjustment. The American manufacturer of these mechanisms offers a lifetime guarantee against wear under normal usage.
