This is a sculpture constructed by hand using chunks of American Bullseye Glass to create natural forms.
It’s a 3 dimensional piece in colours suggesting water and adjacent those of an autumnal landscape
Each composition is different. It’s only when I take it out of the kiln after a 6 day firing that I can see the result and find out if I’ve captured the essence of my inspiration!

These pieces explore the beauty of stone bridges, harbour walls, dry stone walls and rocky outcrops.
The compositions are evocative of the landscape and suggest rocks and stones placed harmoniously together, contrasting defined edges with the softness of adjacent vegetation.
This piece is inspired by a stepped bridge over water, framed by autumn colours, looking through to the light beyond.
The blocks of colour echo the surrounding landscape, water and sky. They have a sense of place and atmosphere.
