‘From Above’ is one of my latest collections, inspired by satellite imagery of the landscapes and cities. Each piece of glass is hand cut and the edges are finished on a grinding wheel. The glass is then placed in an intricate design, creating an abstract pattern. Lustres are used the surface of the glass, giving this collection a beautiful quality.
‘Heatwave’ is a development from this, looking at satellite imagery of temperature maps with hot and cold spots. I have chosen to use warm hues with splashes of blue to represent these images abstractly in glass.

This handmade kiln-formed nibble plate is inspired by satellite imagery of the beautiful English countryside. Its intricate and abstract design would look beautiful in any home or working environment.
My ‘From Above/Heatwave’ collection was first designed and created for my headline exhibition at a gallery in the Cotswolds.
