This jewellery box is made from English walnut and has a ripple/figured grain pattern on the curved lid.

There are two removable jewellery storage trays that are made from beech, and below the trays is an open area for storing larger items.

The trays and the bottom of the box are lined with a light purple faux suede.

The box is finished with oil and beeswax.

The dimensions are: 31cm wide (left to right), 19cm deep (front to back), and 12cm high (top to bottom).

Weight 1.9 kg
Dimensions 31 × 19 × 12 cm
Care Instructions:

Over time the box will develop a natural patina. No special care is required, other than an occasional dusting with a soft cloth. Never use a spray-on furniture polish on the box.

I have made several jewellery boxes that have curved lids, and it is the grain pattern of the wood that determines the final look of the lid.
Sometimes if the grain is swirling, the lid will have a little handle at the front that follows the grain. At other times, as in the case of this box, the grain is straight, and the lid follows this. In each case, every box is unique.
