Cast in bronze directly from a real dried poppy, each one of these works is unique. They are finished with a sandy brown patina and natural beeswax. As direct translations of the original organic specimen, the poppies vary in length as this is how they were cut in the garden. Generally specimens range between 25 – 30cm in length.
Works are made to commission so please allow up to three weeks for a piece to be cast, finished and delivered once payment has been made. If there are poppies currently cast and ready for delivery, this will be listed. Please note that the postage listed will cover up to three poppies or any other smaller Pomarius work (under 0.3kg) in a single order.

Waxed bronze surfaces will always dull a little in time. To return the original lustre, gently buff with a clean cotton cloth.
Seed heads have provided just as many interesting and exciting Pomarius works as the many varieties of fruit and vegetables. The transferral to bronze is all the more dramatic since the original poppies are so light.
As every Pomarius work is unique, please only use the images here as a guide. The final patination of these pieces can range from a light sandy finish, to a darker brown.
