Sterling silver hoops are a classic but these ones have a contortionist woman wrapped around it.
The figure has been hand carved and then cast in sterling silver.
I like the idea of movement and here you have two elements that move, the hoop and the figure.
They are very comfortable and reasonably light.
It comes with an organic cotton pouch to storage it.

Care Instructions:

Remove your jewellery before applying perfumes or any cosmetic.
Do not wear your jewelllery in the shower, pool or sauna.
Keep your pieces in the pouch or ziplock bag.
To clean : use a silver dip solution or cloth (any hardware store), brush with lukewarm soapy water and dry throughout.

The idea started thinking about making a classic hoop more interesting.
The contortionist represents being flexible and adptable. A reminder to open up to new situations and ideas, it will make you question the status quo and give you the chance to maybe have a new perspective.
A wearable sculpture, like most of my pieces I couln’t say how long it took me as I get lost in the wax.

I am Luciana, originally from Argentina and based in East London. I have been making jewellery for over 10 years.
I specialise in the lost wax technique and have recently incorporated enamelling into some of my work.
My pieces are figurative wearable sculptures, the hand sculpting of them a slow, intricate and instinctive process that can be obsessive.
The themes of my work are freedom, love, play and movement.
I believe the piece is finished when it finds its wearer.
