Product Details

Common Frog Looking Left 10.5cm x 10cm x 5.5cm

Edition of 100

Bronze cast in the UK to the highest standard and using recycled metals. Certified carbon neutral.

These frogs were sculpted as a pair as the photos with two frogs show. They are for sale individually or at a slightly discounted price to buy together (as a separate listing).

Weight: 750 gm
Dimensions: 10.5 × 10 × 5.5 cm
Care Instructions:

The sculpture has been lacquered and waxed and requires minimal care. Light dusting with a soft cloth and an occasional polish with an inert, non abrasive wax without cleaning agents should be all it ever needs.

Found throughout much of Europe even as far north as parts of Scandinavia inside the Arctic Circle, this frog, Rana temporaria, is still a common sight in woodlands, meadows and marshes. It’s not that unusual to find them in urban gardens though they seem to be less numerous than they used to be. Like all amphibians they are particularly susceptible to pollution.

These sculptures are based on fully mature adult frogs. Easily distinguished from their cousins the toads by their powerful back legs and smooth skin.
